Gaynor launched Stay at Home Care Agency in September 2017. They provide tailored home based care and support that enables people to remain living in their own homes. She approached me asking for bookkeeping advice and on-going support. We reviewed various software packages and Gaynor decided to choose Quickbooks software. I worked with her to set-up a bespoke accounts package with the income and costs codes that matched her requirements. I trained Gaynor so she can create invoices and new customers independently. She passes all her expenses to me to enter in Xero and reconcile the bank accounts. We set-up the bank account feeds so that transactions are automatically imported. In addition I recorded all the costs that were incurred prior to the launch date so that the accountants can include these in her first set of accounts.
I have never done any form of bookkeeping at all, opening a new business I have had to learn a lot of new skills which at times has been overwhelming.
Lucia has been able to set my company up on QuickBooks as well as train me on how to use it which is not an easy task, Lucia has been very patient and has been able to explain things to me in a way that I can understand. I find Lucia easy to talk to no matter how basic the question is, she has always offered good advice and suggestions.
